Community Involvement
DZH Phillips employees and staff share a number of values, one of which is a commitment to investing in and supporting our community. We provide financial assistance and volunteerism to a variety of nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, a few of which are listed below:
Compass Community Services: Compass assists homeless and low-income families, providing services to help them to achieve financial stability. Every holiday season, DZH Phillips employees team up to sponsor families in the community. We provide new toys, gifts, and other items that will help make the season just a bit brighter.
Tax-Aid: Tax-Aid is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide free income tax preparation to low-income families throughout the Bay Area. Each year at tax time, DZH Phillips sponsors a program at the Visitacion Valley Community Center. Our staff members provide free tax return preparation services to each low-income individual or family who visits the center.
Pacific Community Ventures: PCV helps companies in traditionally overlooked areas to gain access to capital, business advice, and critical business resources that will accelerate company growth. DZH Phillips serves as a business advisor to Pacific Community Venture's portfolio of companies.
Nonprofit Board Participation: Many of our staff members hold positions on the boards of nonprofit organizations. We support their efforts and give them the time they need to be successful in their roles.
Green Initiative: We believe in supporting the environment, and are in the midst of "going paperless." We hope to transition the majority of our practice to a paperless environment by the middle of 2009.
