Kim Zydel, CPA

Kim Zydel is a partner at DZH Phillips LLP. Her years of professional experience provide a full range of tax planning and compliance services to corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts and estates, and clients in the nonprofit sector.

Much of Kim's experience has been in services to real estate partnerships, as well as small and family-owned businesses. These services typically involve all areas of personal and business tax planning and compliance, including issues relating to trusts, estates, and international operations.

Kim has assisted many of our clients in adopting more advantageous tax positions, including areas such as change in accounting method, business structure, like-kind exchanges, and use of installment sales reporting.

Kim began her career with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche).  She later became a tax partner with the San Francisco accounting practice of Wilson, McCall & Daoro and subseqently, a partner with Daoro Zydel & Holland. When DZH merged with Smith, Lange & Phillips, Kim continued her role as a tax partner with the newly formed firm.  

Education

Kim received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State University at Long Beach and her Master of Science degree in taxation from Golden Gate University. Kim has pursued courses in certified financial planning at U.C. Berkeley.

Associations

Kim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has served on the tax review team for CPAmerica, International.

Kim actively participates in industry seminars and teaches tax seminars for our professional staff as well as for our clients.
