As a partner in the firm, Larry brings a unique perspective to clients’ business and financial affairs. His entrepreneurial nature, technical skills, and experience provide clients with creative, custom solutions to taxation and financial planning.
Larry is skilled in strategic and tactical application of tax structures, provisions and laws to minimize direct and indirect tax burdens, mitigate risk, and optimize cash flow. Larry provides comprehensive wealth management services to a variety of clients, particularly in the areas of investment planning, estate planning, income tax planning, and retirement planning.
Prior to the formation of DZH Phillips, Larry was a partner at one of the predecessor firms, Smith, Lange & Phillips LLP.
Education
Larry earned a Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, complementing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from State University of New York.
Associations
Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the San Francisco Estate Planning Council. He has served on the directorial boards of several non-profit organizations and is the former president of Tax Aid in San Francisco.
