Ryan Svoboda is the managing partner of DZH Phillips LLP. He has extensive experience providing services to closely-held businesses and their owners, including proper income tax compliance, tax minimization strategies, and maximizing benefits through tax credit and incentive studies, business valuations, and year-end tax planning.
Ryan also has experience with structuring transactions involving real estate issues, partnership tax matters, business sales, purchases, and reorganizations. He has worked with clients in an advisory capacity on financial, tax, accounting, and strategic issues on an ongoing basis.
In addition to holding a CPA certification, Ryan is a Certified Valuation Analyst and appraises operating businesses, family limited partnerships, and family limited liability companies for a variety of purposes including estate & gift taxation, ESOP’s, business liquidations, and mergers & acquisitions.
Prior to the formation of DZH Phillips, Ryan was a partner at one of the predecessor firms, Smith, Lange & Phillips LLP.
Education
Ryan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oregon with a major in Accounting and a minor in Economics. To complement his Bachelor degree, Ryan has a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
