An App for Your Tax Refund?
The IRS is keeping pace with taxpayers and their use of technology. A new Smartphone application, IRS2Go, was introduced this week. Users of this app can check the status of their federal tax refund as well as view helpful tax information. It can be downloaded for free from the Apple AppStore. For those using Android phones, the free app is available from the Android Marketplace.
Last year, 142 million individual tax returns were filed with the IRS. 70 percent of these returns were filed electronically, so a majority of IRS filers are turning to technology to manage their taxes. The IRS Commissioner says the IRS is committed "to modernizing the agency and engaging taxpayers where they want when they want it." For more information, click on the link to the IRS website:
